Senator Casey of Pennsylvania has proposed a bill to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Rosie the Riveter.  The medal would be presented collectively to “the women in the United States who joined the workforce  during World War II, providing the vehicles, weaponry, and ammunition to win the war, that were referred to as ‘‘Rosie the Riveter’’, in recognition of their contributions to the United States and the inspiration they have provided to ensuing generations.”   The Congressional Gold Medal is the highest civilian honor Congress can bestow.  We can’t think of a better recipient!

Calling all Rosies, descendants of Rosies and all interested people!  Please contact your senators and ask them to co-sponsor S.2500 – Rosie the Riveter Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2018 and have them contact Andrew at Senator Casy’s office @Andrew_Usyk@casey.senate.gov for more information on how they can help.
